Idlewood Forest - Application - Taine

_{Yes, another app I couldn’t resist, this group looks so interesting, and all the graphics Heather has designed for it are so cute. So alas…I made another character, and I’m already totally in love with him. I've always wanted a fluffy character with a tail. It opens around the time New Leaf comes out so I figured I’d be madly into AC and would kick myself if I didn’t try to join. They are only accepting a few apps, but I thought I’d try my luck! Hope ya like him! (gold stars to people who already knew what a Binturong was)}

History:
Taine is an only-child, born into a family of hard working parents. Due to their busy careers, they were hardly ever home and, as a result, Taine grew up mostly on his own. He spent a lot of time in his room, went to school and came home as soon as it finished, had no hobbies, no interests, and hardly any friends. Sounds a little depressing huh? Not to Taine. This life style suited the binturong just peachy, in fact, he couldn’t ask for a better life. He enjoyed being alone, he enjoyed the peace and quiet, and on the off-chance that his few friends invited him out, he would decline. The fact is that Taine is incredibly and utterly LAZY. He can’t be bothered to maintain a social life and finds it easier to just stay in his room, usually sleeping. The sleepiness is not by choice however, by nature he requires more hours of sleep than the average animal. By pure will-power and conditioning, his parents are able to overcome this species trait, though not Taine. To prevent himself from over-sleeping, snoozing in class, or even during walking (yes, he can!) Taine limits his energy usage as much as possible. So as you can see, it all works rather well with his lazy lifestyle, yes? This went on for many years, his entire life in fact. All through childhood, and all through highschool, his laziness only was becoming progressively worse all the while.

One quiet afternoon while Taine was napping, something suddenly awoke him with a ‘tap’. An acorn came rolling off his bed and landed on the floor. Odd right? Taine shrugged it off and went right back to sleep. The next day it happened again. Then the letter came. It was situated atop his desk, propped up by a third acorn and his name clearly stated on its white front. Surely anyone finding such a thing in this mysterious manor would be curious enough to open it, yes? Taine tossed it under his bed along with the three acorns, and thought nothing more of it. Thus was his lifestyle.
Though this couldn’t continue on forever. It was all fine and well to live this way when he was growing up, however, he soon graduated from school and his laziness only spiraled further. Taine’s parents began to realise that their son was headed down a one-way street to loser-ville, and decided to step in and take action. After opening a letter found tossed under his bed, along with some curious acorns, they discover a ticket and directions to a cheery looking town. Believing that ‘kindly’ kicking their son out to live on his own would jump-start his life and make him more independent, they send him off with the ticket. Taine reluctantly does as told; after all, he is too lazy to fight back.

If you are after a tennis-buddy, someone to go adventuring with or just company for a stroll, Taine is not your man, or err animal. He is not the type to waste energy on such annoying things. He rarely shows interests in anything or anyone, and may come across as cold and rude, however one will only need to persist with the animal. It will be a hit or miss whether Taine warms up to you or deems you too irritating. You are more likely to have a decent conversation with this animal during the afternoon or late at night, when he most awake. He will tolerate a chat with a stranger, but may fall asleep on you so be prepared!
Despite being rather passive and easily pushed around, Taine may become irritated by Animals who are overly energised and persistently lively and chatty around him.

Hobbies: Taine has no hobbies, not even any interests. Ah, unless you count sleeping in quiet location an interest? Perhaps his new lifestyle in Idlewood will help the reluctant animal to stumble upon something he enjoys.

Job: No jobs for the time being, however, perhaps a small part time job in the future will help Taine with his lazy-habits. He is not productive enough to start his own business, so working as staff will most likely be a future possibility. His parents are more than happy to supply him with required necessities....for now!

Extras:
- Due to sleeping so often, and during day light hours, Taine’s eyes are rather sensitive to the sun or harsh light. He will have them open slightly when walking, though will keep them closed at all times when stationary or speaking to others. To see his eyes is a rare sight.
- He is quite a good swimmer, and will attempt to catch a fish for food if he has enough energy left for the day. Though doing so will have him sleeping for the next two days.
- He dislikes loud, lively, or overly-touchy characters. Poking or prodding him will also earn you a black star.
- He is mostly active at night and can be found sleeping during most mornings.
- Loves all fruit.
